On November 10th at Vetomat Berlin, a new event titled next:now will discuss the stagnation of cultural innovation in the 2000s, described as the ‘Re’ Decade by Simon Reynolds, and explore society’s preoccupation with the past through the perspectives of Debord’s spectacle concept. Speakers from various cultural backgrounds will engage in a discussion addressing the dilemma between sharing knowledge and succumbing to nostalgia, questioning our ability to shape reality.
