Almanac for Noise & Politics 2016

Almanac for Noise & Politics – Volume Two out now as eBook

The Almanac for Noise & Politics Volume Two is now available as an eBook for datacide subscribers.

The second issue of the Almanac for Noise & Politics originally appeared in May 2016 as a 104 page, A6 sized pocket book for the first time and was reprinted twice in 2016 and 2017.

Here we publish it for the first time in digital format.

The original aim of the second Almanac was to shine a spotlight on a few key topics covered by Datacide and Praxis in the compact form of a classic vademecum, a little handbook you can carry around in your pocket. Topics covered in this issue are Nomex – including an appraisal of his life by Jo Burzynska, an interview with John Eden and an extensive discography of his works and his label Adverse. You find two articles for a critique of the left – from the left. A look at far right transversal strategies in Neofolk and Martial Industrial, and a look back on the Vision label 1986-1992.

For the digital edition we changed its title from Almanac for Noise & Politics 2016, to Volume Two, as the articles have lost none of their topicality, and we hope it will serve its purpose in encouraging curiousity regarding our activities and lead you to make exciting discoveries in the fields of music, politics, theory, literature and art.

The main content (Pages 1-92) is exactly as originally published (with some cosmetic improvements), while pages 93-104 in the print editions consisted of a mixture of mail order catalogue, information about Praxis releases, Datacide issues and subscriptions and our book Everything Else is Even More Ridiculous.

All these informations are readily available on our websites where they are continuously updated:

– The Noise & Politics linktree provides a menu of all web sites, online shops and social media accounts of Praxis Records, Datacide Magazine and the other associated projects.

– The Subscriptions page on the datacide web site provides up to date information about different types subscriptions for the magazine, records, books and digital items.

– Here you can download the latest catalogue as a pdf.
